Gunwharf Quays

Multi-phase project to enliven and invigorate Gunwharf Quays, helping it to embrace its waterfront location to create vibrant and enticing retail and leisure destination. 

The project is aimed at injecting character and life to areas where Gunwharf has never fully lived up to its potential, creating a lifestyle destination embracing all of Portsmouth Harbour’s character and setting.

Together with a number of new waterside buildings, uses are repurposed, relocated and enhanced across 500,000 sq.ft of floorspace. Grasping long-term missed opportunities surrounding the arrival experiences by car and rail and foot, and its public realm, the development aligns public spaces and routes with a higher-end experience, placing the glamour and entertainment at the heart of the waterfront.

Internal spaces and malls are re-imagined eliminating the bland; new buildings exploit views, sunshine, connections with the water. No longer shutting out the harbour, Gunwharf becomes its beating heart.
