The St James site was a derelict brownfield site located next to the A20 in Dover town centre. The L+S+H designed scheme expands the town’s retail and leisure offer and re-establishes former routes and links through and beyond the site.

Scheme Overview

L+S+H’s scheme comprises 120,000 sq ft of retail and leisure, 450 car parking spaces and is anchored by a M&S foodstore, Next fashion store and Cineworld 6 screen cinema with a Travelodge (108 bed) and national restaurants chains including a Nandos.

The implemented scheme has opened up and enlivened the local River Dour with new riverside setting, landscaping and public square. The completed development has been successful in drawing footfall back into Dover town centre, and creating much needed modern retail space in the heart of the town.
